Meet Ms. Jalpa Bhatt
Founder of Brighter Horrizon
BRIGHTER HORRIZON is the brainchild of the founder, Ms. Jalpa Bhatt, who is a RCI recognized clinical psychologist by profession and has done her B.Ed in Special Education. She also holds a diploma degree in Juvenile Justice System (JJS). Her contribution to this field has been of over more than 23 years. She started this initiative from Mumbai under the name of 'Sparks Alternative Education', in the year 1999, when the field of Learning Disability was at its nascent stage.
After creating the roots in Mumbai for almost 12 years, the visionary desired to branch out further. Brighter Horrizon, Ahmedabad was also started with the same vision in the year 2012. The institute caters to the needs of children with special needs, poor academic performance, providing shadow teacher support, IQ testing, therapy, counseling and many more services. Through constant hard-work and dedication, she has successfully made her mark in Ahmedabad for more than 10 years and is constantly endeavouring to add new centres. The institute offers one-of-a-kind nurturing environment that helps children to cope with their specific learning difficulties. It is her dream to truly contribute to a child’s holistic development with full support from society. The results are progressive schools, happy families and confident children who are well integrated into the society.
We at Brighter Horrizon; through our Mental Health services are constantly endeavouring to touch new souls and bring some form of positive transformation in their actions by facilitating them through counselling, alternative therapies and other forms of healing modalities. The primary focus is working on the well-being of the individuals and ensuring growth in all spheres of their lives. We strongly believe in our motto “include all, exclude none” which means each individual’s thoughts, feelings and emotions are given due importance without any judgements and are nurtured into beautiful beings.
Our Vision
“Include All; Exclude None” means that all students have the right to feel safe, supported and included at school and in the regular classroom as much as possible. The placement will be the regular classroom as much as possible with some cases where alternatives are selected.
Families
Over the years, Ms. Jalpa has successfully helped more than thousand families across the globe. Under her tutelage, many families, schools and society have been able to accept their child or their own selves the way they are and bring a fresh acceptance in the society.
At present there are two centres; in Mumbai and Ahmedabad; where students are given one-on-one basis assistance or group-based learning as per the child’s learning requirements.
Counsellor
She is also the preferred counsellor for various public and private institutions. Her degree in psychology, special education and law, along with her visible contributions in the field has earned her prestigious affiliation with SNDT College, Mumbai to train their graduates wishing to pursue their career further in special education and counselling.

Learning Disability
In the initial days, when the field of LEARNING DISABILITY was in its nascent stages and children were simply labelled as “undisciplined”, she realized the need for a formalized way of teaching not only these children with special needs but also educating all those who interacted with them. SPARKS ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION, an innovative start in Mumbai, started as “The Learning Centre” in the year 1999 with just 4 students and a single visionary- Ms Jalpa Bhatt.
I am a proud faculty and resource developer for Brighter Horrizon. I'm enjoying my experience here. All the other staff are very supportive and we encourage each other. Lastly, I see immense growth and progress in the students at Brighter Horrizon.

Jalpa Ma’am and Neetu Ma’am has helped us a lot, particularly with my older daughter. Through her lessons and their best teaching methodology, her knowledge in knowing the importance of education has improved as well basic Math has improved as well. They gave different activities, which not only made the lesson interesting but also made it easy for me to understand the problems well. They not only encouraged me on every step but made me confident in understanding that my daughter will do better.
