Shadow Teacher’s Support
A shadow teacher is an educational assistant who works directly with a single child with special needs during their early school years. Having a shadow teacher allows the child to attend a mainstream school while receiving the extra attention that they need.

The job of the support teacher is to make sure that the child is actively participating with all their classmates readily in school programmes and activities with full support from school management.

Communication between the shadow teacher, the class teacher and the parents are key for a successful experience. The shadow teacher essentially helps the child to develop academic and social skills.
Advantages of having a shadow teacher
Encourage them to ask for help from their teacher
Improve communication by maintaining eye contact
Prompting them to initiate discussions with their peers
Participate actively in class
Help them to respond appropriately to their classmates in social situations

And much more.
The institution provides a support team to help the child be mainstreamed into a normal school but this service is subject to change, based on requirement and availability.
